What is daily living support?
Daily living support covers the non-medical household and personal tasks that help individuals maintain a comfortable, stable routine at home. This includes things like preparing meals, doing laundry, keeping living spaces tidy, helping with eating, running errands, and reminding individuals to take their medications on schedule.
It is not skilled nursing, therapy, or clinical care of any kind. It is practical, dependable support provided by a trained attendant who works from an authorized care plan and shows up consistently to help with the tasks that matter most each day.
New Dimensions Caregivers delivers daily living support through PHC, Family Care, Community Attendant Services, STARPLUS, and partnering managed care organizations. If you are enrolled in one of these programs and have been assessed as needing daily living support, we can work directly with your MCO to begin services.
Programs we work with
We provide daily living support to individuals enrolled in the following Medicaid-funded programs in Texas: Primary Home Care (PHC), Family Care, Community Attendant Services, STARPLUS, and partnering managed care organizations. Eligibility and authorized services are determined by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and your MCO. Contact us if you have questions about which program applies to you.
What to expect from your attendant
Your attendant will work from an authorized care plan that outlines the specific tasks they are there to help with. They will follow your routine, take care with your home and belongings, and treat you or your loved one with patience and respect at every visit.
We work to assign the same attendant to each individual so that routines stay stable and a genuine relationship can develop over time. If anything changes or you have questions about your services, our team is available to help throughout the course of care.
